I love this idea. I am really into rosettes this season by the way, I have a growing collection of rosette shirts, scarfs, hats, pins, etc.  So when I ran across this Christmas packaging idea I fell in love.  Oh, the picture of the beautiful hurricane vase idea is attached to the fabulous rosettes picture and I can's seem to remove it so its included too and has nothing to do with this post.

Rolled Book Page Roses

Materials needed:

Book pages

Pencil

Glue gun

Embellishments (glitter, glue)

You want to start with a square shape. Start with three book pages and stack them on top of each other. Using a pencil, draw a spiral circle onto the square. Cut out following the pencil line from outward of page to the inner spiral. (You will have a small circle at the end- this will be used at the end to secure rose with glue). You will have a long paper snake – start rolling from the outside of the spiral roll and roll inward in somewhat of a cone shape…start rolling tightly then loose to get the desired rose edges. Keep rolling until you get to the end. You will want to put a dab of hot glue on the back to hold its shape. Then, dab again the leftover circle flap and hold against bottom of rose. This finishes the back of rose. Then, brush on glue and dip or sprinkle on glitter as to your liking. Attach to the package with hot glue.
